Step 1. Am I eligible for a Commonwealth Solar rebate?

Commonwealth Solar rebates are first-come, first-served. 
You are eligible for a rebate if you are a customer of one of the state’s investor-owned utilities. 
These include:

• National Grid
• NSTAR
• Western Massachusetts Electric
• Fitchburg Gas and Electric

In most cases, residents of Municipal Light Plant towns are ineligible for MRET funding. However, with the passage of recent legislation, these towns now have the option of paying into MRET, which means that their customers may be eligible for rebates.
