SEED Application Process and Solicitation Package

The 5-step SEED application and award process is described below:
Step 1: Prospective applicant peruses the SEED solicitation.
Step 2: Applicant submits Pre-Application.
- Items to be submitted in Pre-Application include the following:
- Pre-Application Form.
- Application Summary – Summary of applicant’s business and technology. Executive summary of applicant’s business plan usually suffices.
- MTC will evaluate the Pre-Application for applicant eligibility. Applicants will be notified of eligibility within 10 business days of complete Pre-Application submission.
- Pre-Application should be emailed to SEED@masstech.org.
Step 3: After receipt of written notification of qualification from MTC, applicant submits full Application within 60 days.
- Items to be submitted in Application include the following:
- Copy of previously submitted Pre-Application Form.
- Authorized Respondent’s Signature and Acceptance Form.
- Applicant Business Plan.
- Supplemental Information Form.
- Applicant's Capitalization Table.
- List of at least three business references.
- Applicant’s Complete Corporate Organizational documents.
- Exceptions (if applicable) to Funding Agreement.
- Please email the Application to SEED@masstech.org AND submit one bound original, five bound copies (no three ring binders) and one unbound copy to

Step 4: MTC evaluates Application.
- MTC conducts staff review and due diligence of applicant based on Application.
- On-site due dilligence meeting at applicant business location.
- Award decision.
Step 5: MTC announces award decision and Awardee proceeds to closing.
- Notice of Financial Assistance mailed to successful awardees.
- Package 1 required document submission.
- Package 2 closing document submission.
- Closing. Fund disbursed to award recipient.
