Public Awareness Grants
Many organizations in Massachusetts have an interest and ability to educate the public about renewable energy. To discover the best and most creative ideas, the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC) releases a solicitation, offered semi-annually, seeking applications from organizations interested in carrying out educational activities that increase public awareness of and support for renewable energy among Massachusetts residents.
These activities should not only provide sound, accurate information about renewable energy, but should be designed to increase the likelihood that renewable energy production and use will increase in the state. They should also aim to provide visible evidence that renewable energy is being used more widely across the Commonwealth and that it can ultimately supply a significant share of the state’s energy needs.
