Step 3. How do I estimate my rebate and project savings?

Although the Micro Wind rebate will cover some of the system costs, you must still make an initial investment. To estimate your potential rebate, please see the rebate calculator. To determine potential project costs and savings associated with a wind project, please talk with your installer. As discussed in Step 5, your installer or vendor can provide you with a detailed estimate of the rebate and project costs.

The actual rebate is based on a hybrid rebate structure, capped at $4.00/watt:

• Payment 1: will be made upon system installation, and based on the rated capacity of the system at 11 m/s (based on manufacturers supplied power curve).
• Payment 2: The Trust will make a payment based on the number of kWh produced by the system in its first year of operation. Customers will have the option to report production data for the second year of operation, and if production is greater than in year one, the Trust will provide a rebate for the difference.
