Step 4. Select Contractor(s)

Feasibility Study applications must list the consultant the applicant will use to perform the study. Design and Construction applications must identify the team that will manage and/or provide design services for the project (although the final construction contractor does not have to be identified).

There may be trade associations that are useful for finding potential contractors in your area. For legal and liability reasons, MRET cannot and does not endorse or recommend any specific contractor for this initiative.

We suggest that applicants perform their own due diligence when selecting a contractor. For information on wind installers that have previously worked on or are currently working on community scale projects, please refer to the Wind Contractor Database.

Public Procurement Compliance (Massachusetts government entities only)
“Massachusetts government entities must demonstrate compliance with Massachusetts Public Procurement Law. For example, a proposed team must be assembled in compliance with Massachusetts Public Procurement Law prior to the submittal of a Community-Scale Wind application to MRET. No Conflict of Interest
Any vendors or contractors providing services directly to the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative or MRET through a Master Agreement for Services and associated Work Orders are not eligible for funding under this Solicitation. Applicants must demonstrate that the entire proposed team is eligible for funding.
