| Project Overview: |
| Mark Richey Woodworking (MRW) has had a 600-kW wind turbine installed at the facility with help from a Trust grant.
This facility has grown since its inception in 1979 to employ over 90 craftsmen and engineers. MRW designed, remodeled and now occupies a 130,000-square foot facility, in historic Newburyport, Massachusetts, which opened in April 2005. The building itself is recycled, having once been owned and occupied by the Owens Illinois Corporation.
MRW is an enthusiastic participant in energy conservation technologies, as exemplified by burning all their wood processing waste in a biomass furnace, providing heat to the facility, and in doing so, reducing fossil fuel consumption.
