Quarry Energy Corporation developed a 600 kW landfill gas project at the City of Quincy's former municipal landfill, now the site of the Granite Links Golf Club. Quarry Energy Corporation designed, constructed, owns, and operates the project. The faiclities consist of gas processing equipment, internal combustion engines, and ancillary equipment. The electricity generated feeds directly into the local distribution grid.
MTC provided an unsecured loan to partially finance pre-development activities for the landfill gas project. The pre-development activities included design and engineering, environmental permitting, an interconnection study, and project legal support.
The Pre-Development loan from MTC was repaid in June 2008. Quarry Energy Corporation has been in commercial operation since March 2009. |
